Coaching Philosophy

At the Atom level, our coaching philosophy can be defined as follows:

1) Fair Play: All players will play equally.

2) Skill Development: We will introduce the fundamental skills and rules of the game of football as is appropriate at this level of play. Rotation of players through as many positions as is possible both on offence and defence will be a priority. Some key positions such as quarterback and running back may not see as much rotation as others.

3) Sportsmanship: Sportsmanship and respect for fellow players, coaches and officials will be a prime focus.

4) Fun: Most importantly, it is a priority that the players have a fun and positive Atom experience. Although it is fun to win, we will not focus on winning at the expense of all else.
